for many taxi drivers, that's their reality. but melanie woodrow shows us, that's about to change. >> reporter: hundreds of parked taxi cabs across multiple parking lots. waiting two to three hours to pick up a ride. tempers are flaring. this isn't a fight between cab drivers and ride share drivers but cab drivers and cab drivers. those who bought a $250,000 medallion, a license that makes them a taxi cab, or those who got one for free off a wait list or lease a medallion. say the wait here is worth it. >> drive around the city two or three hours without a fare, why not come to the airport where you know within two or three hours will get a fare.%
